Question: Discuss about the PSN Document Management System. Answer: Introduction: Hello, I am a professional nurse with eights year of experience in different nursing designation such as the registered nurse, the health care assistant, the clinical manager and the clinical instructor. Currently I am working as a service coordinator for Enliven, Part of Presbuterian Support Northern to support the delivery of community-based service for clients at home. I case manage almost 120 ADHB clients in Remuera, Mt Eden and Sandringham, also Several ACC and MOH client. I am very passionate about my profession and have diverse range of training which have brought me so far in my career. Along with the nursing skills of contact assessment, wound management, infection control and working in long-term and acute care, I am proficient in managing the task of team to maximize productivity. Now I am seeking this job because I want to expand my skills in the area of management in nursing practice and develop the skill to effectively supervise nursing process at your facility. I hope you will find me competent for the job position. My colleagues appreciate me for being organized and skilful in prioritizing task. They like my enthusiasm to accept challenges in my work. They respect me for my ability to manage large number of staff even in busiest service area. My close groups of friends are very well-aware of my personal interest and soft nature. They all are inspired my commitment towards my profession. I am very adventurous and like to go for camping and paddle boarding. Hence, my friends often coax me to take some time out relax by means of adventurous activities. Ryman is one of the biggest care providers in New Zealand giving support to people for independent living in the form of serviced apartments, rest home, hospital and critical care unit. Ryman has 31 villages and it is steadily growing in terms of number of residents and profits. The uniqueness of Ryman lies in the fact that they aim to provide high standard of care in a resort like atmosphere and respects their residents and service staffs. Rymans philosophy is to meet residents care expectations by having villages that provides impressive facilities and full continuum of care (Macdonald, 2017). I want to work at Ryman Healthcare seeing my wifes enthusiasm and commitment towards her work at Ryman. She constantly growing in her role through the support she gets from everybody whenever she goes for leadership seminars. She has told me she if very much satisfied with her job as everyone from top positions to lower positions staffs get the necessary support and equipments required to excel in their job responsibilities. I also wish to be part of this village to contribute to their world class reputation through my skills and experience in the nursing profession. Rymans services are especially for older people with different disabilities like dementia and others. Caring for the aged is also my passion and I have huge respect for older people. Although during my clinical placement so far, I have ventured into different field of nursing, however I always wanted to make difference in the lives of elderly people living with different disabilities due to ageing. I think Ryman will give me the opportunity to live my passion and contribute my knowledge, experience and clinical skills to a company whose aim to deliver high quality resident care. My current job position gives me the secure position and the opportunity to display my skills in community based service. I have learnt many management skills in my current role, however still I am not content with what I have. I want to challenge myself further in my nursing profession and expand my scope of practice in different fields. Hence, I want to leave my current job position to broaden my horizons and gain new set of skills which I think I can get by serving the residents living at the village of Ryman. In my current role as a service coordinator, my average day begins with visiting clients, identify their care needs and allocating suitable staffs for the care of the person. Many a time I am involved in coordinating with NASC, addressing complains of clients, reviewing and solving staffing issues. If need arises, I am also involved in hiring new support worker and looking after compliance to regulations in disciplinary meetings. Apart from applying my clinical skills in my job to ensure clients are efficiently cared for according to best practice, I also get the opportunity to learn leadership skills by means of induction and recruitment management. The most satisfactory factor in my current job is the opportunity that I get display my clinical and nursing skills so far I have gained in my career. The new element in this job is the leadership part and I am thoroughly enjoying leading people so that they get the independence level to take their best clinical decision in the long run. It gives me a lot of satisfaction to see people improve in the job through my mentoring lessons. I also learnt many new things about inter-professional communication while dealing with clients, doctors and other support staffs. Although like each part of my responsibility as a service coordinator, however the fact that I have to travel from house to house to identify needs of clients and service support requirement, the daily journey becomes tiresome. I have to visit at least 4-5 clients on an average everyday, which takes a toll on my health and leaves me with little interest in personal commitments. As I have said earlier, I am willing to leave my current position due to my passion of caring for elderly patients and I feel Ryman can give me the opportunity to promote their health and well-being in pleasant environment of the village. Another advantage for me in this job will be my accessibility to clients as I will get to leave in close proximity to all the residents and I will get rid of the tiresome part of daily visits to clients house. Ryman should consider me for the job position because my experience in nursing profession reflects that I am capable of handling the responsibility of supervising nursing care. My management skill will help me to precisely check all documentation process relating to maintain nursing records, incident reporting and keeping medication records. In my current role also, I was involved in maintaining all records in line with PSN document management system and I can do the same in accordance with Ryman Accreditation Standards.
